question about Huntsman & Kings Court

is Kings Court really a place to stay out of?

I am currently a junior and considering the Huntsman Program; if you get in, is it mandatory to live in Kings Court?

would it be possible to live somewhere like Hill or Stouffer instead??

If you get in Huntsman, you have to live in the specially coordinated Huntsman residential area.

thanks
jor, do you recall if the same applies for just wharton?

Wharton kids can live whereever they want, just like all the other students. they don't have a special place where they all live

The Huntsman area of Kings Court isn't bad. The people are very interesting.

how is kings court in general for freshmen? any current students know bout room size, bathroom-cleanliness, social scene (as compared to the quad), distance from campus, food...?

also, after what round of room assignments does kings court usually fill up?

JohhnyK lived there and hated it. He told me to do Quad, Hill, then KCEH for my priority though. It is a majority freshman dorm, but with the nerdy res programs, I can see where it gets its reputation from.

wait, hill over KC? i've been hearing that hill has a closet-like rooms and nasty bathrooms, with the only redeeming factor being the social environment... is it really that much better than KC?

I talked to another friend who is a sophomore. She said she didn't know anyone from KC and she recommended Quad then Hill as my top choices. Coveney recommends Hill (but I don't know how serious he is). Lots of people in Hill love it and can overlook the horrible facilities.

I guess it depends on how extroverted a person you are!

Does anyone know the chances of getting Hill or Quad?

If Hill is your first choice, I think there is a 100% chance you get in. Hill is full of quad rejects, so that tells you that there is a distinct possibility that you will not get into the quad.

I'm telling you people, Kings Court is better than Hill. Stwing is one floor out of 9, everyone else is normal. We have big rooms, tons of house events, and a dining hall.
