Throughout my high school career I've gotten all As or A-s (save for 9th grade Spanish first semester) in academic subjects (which encompasses everything except for gym) except for the second semester of my sophomore year, when I got four B+s because of depression (to which my teachers, parents, guidance counselor and school psychologist can attest). I've certainly overcome it and my junior year was very good, but my GPA took a hit from that, and the B+s also look rather splotchy on my transcript, so I was wondering if I should include a note of that in my Additional Information section of the Common App? I don't want to sound as though I'm freaking out about four B+s, because I'm not, but I'm applying to Williams, Amherst and Middlebury (among three others), and those three have a lot of serious competition, so it could feasibly make a difference. What do you guys think?
