<p>For the first supplementary essay, is it okay to talk about only one intellectual interest, or do you have to talk about at least two? Yeah, I understand this is probably a stupid question, but this whole process is making me nervous, so I'd rather be safe than sorry.</p>
<p>I talked about my interest in politics so ya it's fine just to talk about one or more it's up to you.</p>

As for length, the first essay was around 250 words, and the second was around 300</p>
<p><em>with the second part of the academic interest essay (where you describe how Cornell would help you to pursue them further, or something along those lines) I made sure to do some research into what exactly Cornell had to offer in each of the areas I focused on, and made sure to mention certain aspects of Cornell's programs that I found appealing.</em></p>
