I am an early action applicant to the University of Chicago.
I requested an alumni interview weeks ago, but received no response.
On my application it still says "Request an alumni interview"
When I click it, it says the time for requesting an interview has passed.

Those of you who requested an alumni interview... does this show up on your pages as well???

I would not sweat it if you do not get one. I am an interviewer in theory, and I can say that at least for my area it is a horribly managed system (no replies to email despite multiple solicitations). Two other individuals I have talked to have gone through applying also never to be called on, despite us knowing that there are uninterviewed applicants in our area. Frankly, the problem I would wager is that a lot of young alumni are in charge of managing the process, many of whom I doubt have sufficient time given their corporate obligations.

-a. massively
-b. slightly
-c. not at all
about the fact that it is now November 29th and I still have no interviewer person, yet? (I applied EA and made my request in early October.)

I live close to Cincinnati, and interviews for other kids at other schools (Yale, MIT, Case, etc) have all happened pretty quickly...so I don't think it's a lack of people/Chicago alums in the area, but just some sort of holdup in the system.

Or I'm too special and my email/call/whatever got lost.

And how important are the interviews, really?
