Apparently, there is a Harvard alumnus in my town who does interviews. Unfortunately, he is my father's coworker, and they do not get along well. I am afraid that if he is my interviewer my chances at Harvard SCEA will be hurt drastically. I am wondering if there is any way to resolve this situation tactfully.

If he's assigned to interview you, request another interviewer. The interviewer should be getting a fresh first impression of you. Unless you live in rural Wyoming or something, there should be more than one alumnus in your area.

there usually is a harvard club too, or a point person to talk to. email the admissions office and inquire about who your potential interviewers can be, and if you get your father's coworker, send another email explaining the situation
