i'm going to be sophomore in the school of engineering, and i'm interested in declaring ioe. I really like the concepts and description of ioes, but i've had bad experiences with computer programming thanks to engineering 101 last year. how much much emphasis is there really on the programming aspect(s)? would i be able to handle pursuing an ioe related career?any ioes out there who have any advice?
please help!!!!
thanks!:)

In my opinion you’re pretty useless as an IOE if you can’t program at all, but the only programming class you’ll HAVE to take as an IOE is 373, which isn’t particularly hard, but a bit time consuming. What about IOE sounds interesting to you? What within IOE do you find interesting? If it’s Ergonomics I don’t think you’d be expected to be able to program, but if it’s Operations I think you’d be expected to do some programming, or atleast be capable of learning.
