Do the ivy leagues have more spots for sophomore transfers or junior transfers?

bump... i want to know too :D

My guess would be the sophomore class has more spots... I'm sure less people drop out after soph year than do after freshman year. Fresh year you get alot of people who decide they made the wrong decision/can't handle college, etc. Sophomore year you get less of that because it's peoples' second year at college. That's just speculation though.

Anyone else?

I've heard that the junior class has more spots.

I know someone who gathers statistics for Amherst College about admissions across the board, but with a focus on Amherst's competitors. She is emphatic that the trends show higher acceptance chances for the sophomore class, almost categorically. It does, however, vary from one school to another, and in many cases from one year to another.
