Question about January 28th SAT

I've heard from some people that the January SAT is a little bit harder than SATs at other times? Is this true?

BTW, I'm taking it in January.

I hope not cause im taking it in january too....

It's a dumb rumor.

Really, what would be the point for CB to make one test a bit harder than all the others?

on the last January test (2005), collegeboard repeated a question from the previous December SAT test. So those who took the test in December found the January test much more to their liking.

I've always taken the SAT (I & II) either in January or May, and always heard that at those times they're curved better, so if anything you should score better in those months. (Don't know if this is actually true, of course ;))

yea i've heard that they're curved better too.

i sincerely hope it isnt the case coz even im givin my SAT in january..

Well doesnt that just mean that the jan test really is harder? Cause I mean, as far as I know, the harder the test, the better the curve...., right?...

^That's what they want you to think....
The curve....bleh. Never seems to be fair (although sometimes in a great way!)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've heard heard the Jan IS harder because of Duke TIP or somethign like that is testing in this period.

^No...that has no effect. I took Duke TIP in 7th grade by the way and got a 1300!

s snack you crazy mofo

What's Duke TIP?
