Question about Law School

I'm doing horrible poor at the school I'm at since I picked the wrong classes and hate this place in general. When I transfer to another school and get like a 3.5+ and apply to law school, will they see the grades I had before I transfered?

yes, your LSDA's will show your grades from all colleges... However, i believe courses you did not get a GPA (ie. Pass Fail, CLEP, AP etc) will show, but no GPA will be assigned to it.

Basically, whateva affects ur GPA will show

I didn't know PASS/FAIL doesn't effect the GPA. I'm going to take math PASS/FAIL then.

I think that the Pass won't affect it, but a Fail most certainly will. Also, too many pass/fail classes are frowned upon by admissions people.

I agree with DRAB. Too many PF's show that you werent getting an A or a B-- nor quite possibly a C. So what's left? A D. A great 1.0 GPA.

Use P/F with caution

You can't pass/fail a course during the middle of the semester. You can only do it before the semester and with electives.

Different schools have different policies, joev. I think it's fairly common for schools to allow a pass/fail class or two within the major. It is at least not uncommon. I think I've even heard of a school that allows you to change the grade from letter to pass fail or vice versa after the final grade is given, but I could have made that up.

I think I have a D in Math. Will I hope it's a D. Finals are in two weeks, i'll try my best on them, but I'm going to ask about the PASS/FAIL grade and see if it does anything to the GPA.

There are also schools that simply do not enter the course on the transcript if you get below a C. There's no such thing as a D or F at those schools.

what about Ws (withdrawls) from classes I know im going to fail like writing, spelling etc
