Question about Legacy Circumstances

Does legacy at Penn extend to all 4 undergrad colleges? For example, let's say I have single legacy at Penn SAS. Will that serve any advantage if I were to apply to Wharton ED?

My same question applies to grad school and whether grad school legacy helps an applicant for undergrad admissions, and vice-versa (does undergrad legacy help at Wharton Business School? Is there such thing as grad school legacy boost, period?)

yes 10 char

My understanding is no official grad school legacy boost, i.e. if applying to one of the grad/professional schools legacy is not a help.

Undergrad legacy is a boost, most importantly, some argue, only ED. Your legacy status will help at any of the schools you apply to undergrad.

Yes: When applying as an undergraduate, having a legacy at any of the undergraduate or graduate schools helps you if you apply ED.

No idea how legacies are considered for admission to the graduate schools, but for any of the undergraduate schools, you will get a little boost in admissions no matter which specific school, graduate or undergraduate, your parent attended.

Trust me. I was asking all of the same questions about a year ago. My dad got his MBA (graduate) at Penn and I was definitely considered a “legacy applicant” even though I was applying to CAS… legacy applicants get a supplemental on-campus interview and advice from the Sweeten Alumni House, which I’m assuming helped my chances a bit.

Here’s the “official” confirmation, not that SM needs any backup :)
