I say "legacy" because my question pertains to a situation that doesn't fall under the legacy category.

So I'm currently an undergraduate at Cornell and by the time I graduate, my little brother will be going into college. My parents and I were wondering that if he (my bro) should choose to apply to Cornell, would he be given a little extra consideration since I'd be a graduate?

Legacy status is generally understood to have a parent or grandparent as an alum. However, your brother's expressed desires to attend Cornell may be enhanced due to his familiarity with the schools strengths. I'd recommend that he highlights what he knows and with that information, why he sees it'll be a good fit for him. He'll have much more direction and purpose in his app statements than the average applicant. That can only help.
