Question about London First Year experience?

I was curious as to know if students are allowed to choose whether to go to London or stay on campus after a student gets into the London First Year Program?

Also, if the student does choose to go, do they have to pay the airplane flight fees and housing?

Thank you very much!

Hi! I am sure you have received the answer to this by now, but maybe someone else is still curious. My son was accepted to Skidmore and the London FYE. The London accepted students can choose to enroll for the London or Skidmore campus, but London is first come, first serve. There are 36 spots in the London FYE, but I don’t know how many are accepted into the program, so it’s possible it could fill up well before before May 1. No matter what, you can go to the Skidmore campus for the fall semester. That spot is held until May 1, like other colleges.

when did your son get notified of his acceptance to the london fye program ? did it feel like there was time pressure to take the spot before the April 1 date which might need to pass before admissions decisions from all other colleges are received ?

I think you should email Skidmore for a more accurate answer. They’s be happy to help!
