Question about low GPA at first institution and transferring

I completed three semesters at Central Michigan University. My GPA after that is around a 1.3. I am going to attend CC starting in January. My low GPA was caused due to ADD, which is now fixed. I was looking into colleges for after CC, and some say that "you must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 at EACH prior institution" Does this mean that even if I get a high GPA at CC that I cannot get into that school because of my CMU GPA?

that’s really odd. you should call and ask, maybe if you explain your situation they will allow you to combine your CMU and CC GPA

I am referring specifically to UF. Are many other colleges/universities like this?
