Question about maintaining my GPA for UCLA and CC summer classes?

I know a lot of people have been asking about GPA maintenance, but I haven't seen any very specific answers, so I thought I'd give it another shot. So I was accepted to UCLA for the Fall, and obviously my provisional contract said that I have to maintain my GPA. My GPA for the fall 2009 semester was a 3.64. This semester, I'm guessing that my GPA will end up being around a 3.44. Will this much of a drop cause me to possibly be rescinded (I'm a philosophy major, if it matters)? I read somewhere that as long as you don't drop more than .5 then you should be okay, but for some reason it just doesn't seem correct that I wouldn't get rescinded for going from a 3.64 to a 3.14. So if anyone could help me with this I would REALLY appreciate it! [:

Also, one of my classmates told me that since I was admitted to UCLA, I'm not allowed to take any summer classes at the CC i currently attend. Does anyone know if this is true? My CC summer registration date is today and I kind of want to know if I should register for a class or two or not. Thanks so much for any help!

Please help!

You are fine… you can for sure take classes at your cc… In fact, in Jan you report the classes you anticipate taking throughout summer so the coursework you take should be consistent with what you reported you’d take…

As far as GPA, I’m pretty sure you are fine… Philosophy is NOT impacted and .2 is pretty consistent with what you’ve applied with…
