question about math placement.

I signed up for the math placement this saturday, however i took the ap calculus AB exam this may and pretty sure I received a 5 on it. If i do poor on the placement test, will I still get placed into an appropriate math class if i get a 5? regardless of the math placement score.

"What if I am currently taking or plan to take a college-level math course or AP exam?

You should still complete the Math Assessment. Once your final transcript or official AP scores are received, we may be able to adjust your placement."

If you get a 5 on the test, you will have a placement level of 7 automatically and the math placement test goes up to level 10. They take whichever score is higher. Just make sure you get your results sent ASAP and bring your AP results to your orientation (so you can show them to the adviser who will help make your schedule).

You should take the assessment if your AP score hasn’t come in yet. Then, once you transfer in the AP, they can adjust your placement (if it needs adjusting).
