A lot of the colleges I've been looking at require 2 algebras, Algebra I and Algebra II. However, as I am sure many people on this site also did, I took Algebra I in middle school. How do I relay this to admissions? Do I also have to send in my middle school transcript?

They will understand if you have Algebra II that you must have had I at some point. Usually you get well beyond that in high school if you had Algebra I in middle school (Often ending up with a AP Calculus or advanced Calculus class by your Senior year).

It will be understood that you took Algebra I in middle school prior to Algebra II. And like the other commentor said, you will take much higher-level math classes. By the time I was a junior, I was taking AP Calculus AB.

Besides as noted above, one thing to check is what your high school does. When you have had high school level math or language in middle school, it is very often noted on your high school transcript that is sent to colleges.

^ Yup. If you start at Alg 2 or Geometry it’s only assumed you know the content from Alg 1. But the school will still want to see three/four years if that’s their requirement.

on my Transcript, i have Alg 1 Competency as a P/F from before HS.

Ask your Guidance Counselor. With my daughter’s school, the Adv Algebra and French I class she took in middle school was included in her official HS transcript.
