Question about maximum spots in enrollment

<p>For my classes (Math 53, for example), there's a maximum 400 student capacity for one of the teachers. However, adding up all the later discussions for that teacher doesn't even come close to 400; I get about 250 students only...</p>

<p>So the question IS (for over $9000), do they hold spots so each additional CalSO is able to register for classes?</p>

<p>Sometimes they open discussions if they are needed. Are some of the sections currently listed as “not open” or “cancelled”? If that is the case, they will be opened for later calso’s or for Phase II</p>
