Which undergrad program other than premed prepares you for the MCAT and medical school? Also, with a GPA of 3.55 UW/3.89W, which colleges would I have a shot at getting accepted into?

You can't major in Pre-med. It is for the most part an advising category.

You must major in something because you will have to graduate. You can major in anything you wish, and med schools really don't care what that is, so long as you complete their entrance requirements. I suggest that you major in something you enjoy and are passionate about.

The AAMC which administers the MCAT says appropriate preparation comes from one year each of bio, gen chem, physics, and organic chem.

Oh I see. Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

yeah...i wouldn't worry bout the med school and mcat right now. better to focus on getting into the right college for you. you can always look into med school and mcat starting soph/junior year.
