Question about Mid-Term Report

Hey all, I'm applying to Penn for Fall 07' as a transfer. They require a mid-term report to be sent in which shows current grades of this semester thus far. How long do I wait to complete this form? As the semester just started I do not yet have any grades. The deadline to apply is March 15th, so do I wait until very close to that deadline to complete this form? I will be sending in the application within the next week or so and I guess I'm wondering if it is wise to wait that long to complete this form.

I would send it in at the same time as the rest of your app so they can hurry and make their decision. Most of my classes have 4 main tests, so I plan on sending a midterm report after the 2nd test grade, which should be very close to most college deadlines.

So are you waiting until that date to send the application in also?

Unless the school notifies on a rolling basis (first come, first served), yes. I see no reason in submitting it beforehand to schools that won't start reviewing any apps until the deadline.

Ok, that makes sense. So is that a vaild statement for every college that specifies a deadline? That they will not review any applications until after that date?

it is for almost all of them that i'm applying to and most that i've seen.

If they don't specify that their admissions are rolling, you can be pretty sure that they will not review apps/make decisions until their deadline.

It's fine to wait and send you whole app at the time you send your mid-term report. It's also fine to submit most of your app now and send the mid-term report when you are ready. My S did it that way and was successful in all the places wanting a mid-term report.
