question about minor

Ok so I'm prbly gonna major in biomedical engineering, but I'm really interested in like stock market (I actually have some $ invested in the stock market) and I'm not sure if that is finance or economics? Also into like real estate and that sort of stuff.

anyone?

10chars

Yes if you're interested in the stock market you can minor in Econs (financial economics classes) or take Ross finance classes like FIN 300 and such. Do keep in mind that you can't minor in Business.

Ok, can I minor or get a "certificate" or whatever in econ then? or finance?

yes you can minor in econ for sure but not finance.. Consider applying to Ross and do a double major if you're that passionate about finance =)

Well, I'm going to a freshman this fall in engineering. How/when can I apply to Ross? Also, double major might not be possible, because I'm also thinking about going to med school so I need the premed classes too.

I see, well if you decide to change your mind in the future, you can apply to Ross in your sophomore year. In order to be elligible for admission, you have to take prereqs such as math 115, writing classes and econ 101.

Well if I'm majoring in BME and want to minor in econ, do I have to SWITCH schools from engineering to business?

No no Predator, economics is not Business, it's a social science major offered in LSA. One can minor in Economics or other LSA programs without transferring to LSA. So if you decide to minor in econ, you don't have to switch school.

OK, gotcha. Is there a site that shows the list of minors available?

Here you go
