question about my class rank, please try to answer

<p>i just got my class rank and i ranked 42 out out of 406 possible graduates. I know missed the cut off of top 10% in my class but do you think colleges would still count it as top 10%? I'm exactly top 10.5% but im only 2 places away, which makes me more miffed.</p>

<p>by the way, this is an unweighted ranking used for local college apps (im an international student taking college in US) and I doubt my school will release a weighted ranking, and if they do, I'm sure I'm in the top 10% (since I take honours). So do colleges use whatever ranking my school gives them or asks for a weighted ranking?</p>

<p>oh and is religion class of any sort counted towards your gpa for college apps? thanks.</p>

<p>Sorry, but you probably wouldn’t be counted in the top ten percent, and colleges probably just use the rankings that are provided by the school. I don’t think that you should worry too much though because your rank is still good, and they’ll see that you’ve taken more rigorous classes.</p>

<p>I’m not sure about religion class though. I guess you’d have to check with the school policy.</p>
