Question about my potential fin aid?

Okay so I am currently a CCC Student who is planning on transferring to a UC this fall. I just submitted my FAFSA and I have some questions. 1. I am pretty sure I qualify for the Blue & Gold opportunity plan, but when will I be made aware of this? I have been a CA resident my whole life and my household income is under 80k. So far when I submitted FAFSA all I got my was EFC and some other estimates as far as Pell Grant and Direct Stafford Loans.

My next question is, last year I applied to a state school and I never ended up going or even submitting a deposit because I no longer wished to attend. I just made an account to check on my Cal Grants and it has the state school that I was accepted to listed as my current school, which is incorrect. What do I do about this? Should I change it to my current actual school (community college), or just call and ask if they can remove it altogether?

Contact the Cal grant office to adjust your school.

When you receive your financial aid page from the UC’s they will add in the B & G award if they think you qualify. Make sure the FAFSA is correct.

You will see when you get your aid award letter. That will have actual dollar amounts. Blue and Gold also means you have to have need, not just income under 80k. You probably do but just to clarify. You can run the UC Net Price Calculator with your family numbers for an estimate of what to expect.

Do you qualify for Cal Grant? If so, and in any case make sure the FAFSA is filed by Mar 2. But for Cal Grant, your CC has to submit your grades to CSAC.
