Question about NROTC/USNA/Dodmerb

Hi all,
My son has completed applications for both USNA and NROTC Scholarships, he finished them both in early fall. Back in July he was sent the Dodmerb paperwork for the USNA application, he completed the physicals and is medically qualified.
Status now... still waiting for any information from either USNA or NROTC.
My question is this: Does NROTC look at the Dodmerb evaluation for USNA? Should NROTC send a request to Dodmerb to have my son take the same physicals just for them? Do they know he passed them for USNA?
Thanks for any responses and good luck to all who are waiting.

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong...;)

Since our son took one exam and was deemed qualified by NROTC, WP, USAFA and USNA, I believe that DoDMERB is a clearinghouse.

Husband, retired Navy having done 2 tours of recruiting duty, says yes, one physical. Let them know your son has been DoDMERB'd and it should all be good.

Happy waiting!

Yeah, someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but they all look at the same exams. The difference is that USNA has it as a requirement for their app, whereas NROTC doesn't request it until you've been awarded the scholarship, which is when they contact DODMERB and get the info themselves. SO, all in all, one exam.

You won't even need to notify NROTC of dodmerb. They will request info from dodmerb when they need it. One physical does it for all academies and ROTC programs.

I was nominated for a 4 yr. NROTC scholarship (I say nominated because they don't actually award it untill summer or grad. or something, as you prob. know) I was accepted to the college and I accepted the scholarship. NROTC will deal with the DODMERB. Your son should recieve a letter some time from DODMERB telling him he is cleared for the academies and NROTC. They take care of it. If your worried, contact your NROTC recruiter and inform them you are qualified by DODMERB. Anyway, yea they take care of it, no worries :)

Thanks for your help!
