question about NYU need-based F.A. and stuffffff

Hey everyone!

I'm EXTREMELY interested in NYU!

Question (and I'm new at all this f.a. stuff) I know NYU doesnt give out a lot of merit aid, but do they give out a lot of need-based f.a.? IDK...maybe need-based f.a. is the same across the board, no matter where u apply? Does need-based f.a. change if you're applying ED to NYU?

THANKS

NYU says that they're phasing out a lot of their merit-based scholarships in favor of need-based aid (for Stern especially). I'm not sure whether need-based aid is higher or lower for ED applicants, but I would assume it's the same. Also, if you're not sure you can afford NYU, applying ED isn't the way to go anyway...NYU/Tisch was my first choice, but there's no way I was applying here ED because I knew that I wouldn't be able to afford it without substantial financial aid.

Basically, if your EFC is over 50K, you won't be seeing a dime from NYU

If your EFC lets you qualify for federal grants, expect anywhere from 12,500 to 25,000 a year in grants. Sadly, NYU costs 52,000.
