<p>General Studies Program- it's where they put the applicants who they don't think are quite up to Stern or CAS standards. It's a two-year-long liberal arts program of study where you get an AA at the end and provided you have a 3.0, you get to transfer into the school you originally applied to. </p>
<p>My best friend goes to Stern and when I visited him, I met a ton of GSP kids who seemed far brighter than the CAS-ers and Sternies that I know. It's all arbitrary, I guess.</p>
<p>Oh, okay, thanks for clearing that up for me. And I called NYU and two people left me messages! They were really nice and asked me to send them direct e-mails so that they could do the changes.</p>
<p>Would you say that I have a good shot at getting accepted into their College of Arts & Sciences with the scores/recommendations I posted earlier?</p>
<p>Oh, and how much easier is it to get into the General Studies Program than it is to get into the College of Arts and Sciences?</p>
