Hi, I'm currently taking Chem 140B with whitesell and am trying to enroll for spring quarter's classes but the only teachers teaching 140C are albizati and ternansky. Obviously, albizati's classes are already full. I was just wondering if it would be gpa-suicidal to take ternansky after taking whitesell..
Should I just avoid ternansky and take it...over summer or next fall or would that be a bad idea since ochem builds upon the previous class?

My friend seemed to think that taking 140C in summer w/ Albizati was worth the wait of one quarter. I can’t speak from personal experience but yeah, I have heard that since C builds on previous material, if you really haven’t learned anything in 140B it will be hard. then again, it would be hard with any professor, albizati included.

My verdict is, if albizati is teaching then take it this summer. Otherwise if you would rather get it over with, I have heard that Ternansky’s curves are fairly generous and he’s a great lecturer.

or you can wait until next winter quarter and take jennings, the easiest of the 140c professors.
