When I filled out Part 1 of the USC application, I chose English as my intended major. Since then, I've decided to apply for Journalism at Annenberg. I already submitted Part 1, and I have Journalism selected for Part 2. Is this OK or do I need to be consistent? If it's OK, what's the point of Part 1?

The main purpose of part one is to get your information on file. Also, I think it saves you some money. I don't know about the major thing. Sorry!

Don't worry, you'll be able to change your intended major on part II. Last year, I put undecided on part I, then put Engineering for part II and had no trouble getting into Viterbi as well.

Wow. So if I send in the Part I Application, I'll only have to pay a $10 application fee? Or do I also have to pay another fee when I send in the Part II Application in addition to the Part I Application? Quite frankly, I wouldn't care if the USC application fee was $200, but hey... $10 is awesome. I want to protect Tommy Trojan if I get accepted to USC.

I believe the initial $10 is just subtracted from the total cost with application II.

No, I believe that the $10 fee for part I is the total fee. It is to encourage people to submit part I, since it is optional.

It's $10 for Part 1, and $40 for Part 2 for a total fee of $50. So by turning in Part 1, you'll save $15.

Great attitude powerabe! I love it! :)

do they ask for your scores on part 1?

do they ask for your scores on part 1?

nope, that'll be on part II.

they do ask for ur best scores on part I...atleast this year it's asking for them.
Nonetheless, Part II is the one that really matters.
