Question About Payments?

I'm just really confused about how all the payments work. I have to pay for housing (spring semester) and the tuition/stuff. Housing is around $6k and tuition/fees are around $6.5. I can only see the tuition/fees amount on bear facts/CARS - it says the min amount due NOW is 0, but I still have the $6.5k due? Is housing handled separately?

And I can't pay for or see anything on the monthly e-bill. It says my balance is 0, but still has a "pay now" option...which charges a $.50 convenience fee? What am I supposed to do? Do I wait until it updates next month and pay then? Will it update before the Jan 15th deadline? Is this all really simple and am I making it complicated???

The thing is, I need to know deadlines in advance by a few weeks so I can make arrangements for the money...btw I'm a spring admit that was in FPF (if that makes a difference).

Thanks! (sorry it's so long...somehow all my posts end up long >.>)

You will get an ebill with a balance to pay, which gives you several weeks advance before the deadline which will be Jan 15.

For the semester, housing will be charged in five monthly installments of 20% of the total. If your housing is exactly $6,000, then the monthly charge will be $1,200.

Tuition can be paid all at once for the semester or you can choose the payment plan and pay it off over five equal monthly payments. The ebill will give you two choices - paying about $7,700 which is all the semester tuition/fees and 1/5 of the housing, or roughly $2,500 which is 1/5 of both tuition and housing. There is a one time fee for the tuition payment plan, but those are basically your two choices next month.

Financial aid is paid into the account and any credit balance after paying all the tuition and housing will be refunded to you to use for books, meals and other expenses.

Awesome! Thanks!

And if there is financial aid, will I have to do anything about it (apart from accept)? As in, will it go directly to the account before the deadline?
