Question about Plan II Honors

Hey guys

I'm going to be applying to UT in the fall and also I'll be applying for Plan II. I've heard that Plan II is a liberal arts program, but not so much for the sciences-- is this true?

By "liberal arts", they simply mean that the education you receive from Plan II encompasses a wide array of fields. You take various classes pertaining to different fields of study as your major (World literature, logic/modes of reasoning, philosophy, biology, physics, etc) instead of focusing on one particular study (i.e. Molecular Biology).

If you want to go into sciences, you can always double major. I, for one, am (but we'll see how that goes, haha).

Plan II is a major in the College of Liberal Arts, and you get a BA degree. However, the Plan II curriculum includes one math, one biology and one physics class, as well 3 more hours of science in some department.

And it's very easy to double major in science/Plan II. Lots of people do it.
