Question about post-acceptance

Once someone is accepted what are they supposed to do in regards to their currently university?

I mean do you just stop..showing up after the semester is over? Do you have to alert the admissions office or fill out a specific form?

You can notify them if you want, or just never register for classes.

Talk to your advisor or dean, because it varies from school to school. I know I had to send an e-mail explicitly stating that I would not be coming back.

My college requires me to formally withdraw, return some stuff I got, and have an exit interview with an advisor before I’m off the hook.

I just stopped going, dropped the classes I’d registered for, etc. Didn’t talk to anyone there again until I needed transcripts.

I formally withdrew and sent thank you notes to the Professors who had written me recommendations. I also dropped classes.

Yeah I think it varies from school to school…I think many though have some sort of withdrawal form.

You could just not register for fall classes and not show up in August. Make sure though that none of your money gets disbursed there.

Any more thoughts?

yeah apparently its illegal to receive aid from 2 schools…oops
