Can anyone please tell me where are those Cornell top ranking premed graduates go? Were they accepted by top med schools like Johns Hopkins, Harvard, U-Penn.......?

You can get into any med school from any undergrad. Whether your classmates can get into Penn has no effect on whether you can get into Penn.

But, yes, top Cornell premeds do spectacularly.

I may be completely off base here, but I want to say that something like 20% of the entering class at Weill-Cornell attended Cornell undergrad.

Ever year, a fair number of kids at Cornell will place into the top five. I would say at least 30 students or so.

Beyond that, a lot of students end up at SUNY-Buffalo, SUNY-Upstate, or SUNY-Downstate, simply due to the cheaper tuition cost.

Thanks for your replies. Do you know how many Cornell premed students graduate every year?

Cornell produces ~450 premed applicants each year. Half of them will apply as college seniors. The other half will apply after graduation.

Interesting fact: Cornell produces more graduates that go on to become doctors than any other university in the country.

Or so says Wikipedia.
