Question about primary+secondary school option on cornell app

when i choose a primary and then a secondary school in the supplement (it's either the supp or the common app, i forgot).......can i get accepted to both schools if i qualify?

or does it work as like, they consider me for the primary school first, then if i don't qualify, on to the secondary......and also, if they accept me for the primary school, do i still get to be considered for the secondary one? i'm trying to figure out which school to put first, CALS or CAS...

i'm not a NYS resident...LOL if i walk North for about 10 minutes, i'll BE in NYS. haha.

anyway, i'm lookin at AEM in CALS and econ in CAS...

i assume that CALS favors NYS applicants over any other states right? or is it just b/c simply more NYS students apply? what about CAS, is it more "neutral"??

primary first. if you get rejected than secondary. when i visited cornell the representative said that getting into secondary is very rare when rejected from primary, it only happens to very very very few people.

No, you will not be considered for the second school if you get accepted by your primary school.

i always hear that CALS is very fit based...so if i'm looking at AEM, then i guess i should be prepared to show them many biz related ECs i guess? what about CAS, more well-rounded than CALS?

and...does CALS really favor NYS kids? if so, then i'm at a disadvantage..

bump bump bump

anyone else?

deleted post.............

does CALS really favor NYS applicants? It is state funded.
