Question about programs in Hunter College!

I have heard that Hunter is extremely competitive to get into because of the dorms...But who is this available to? Is this available to a special program in the college, like Macaulay Honors, or a different one?

I am planning on applying to Macaulay Honors College in Hunter but think that I might not get in because of the competitiveness caused by the dorms...Should I not worry because Macaulay Honors is a totally different program? Or is it not.

I think it’s more competitive if you’re trying to get int Macaulay through Hunter. Don’t quote me on it but I’m fairly sure they consider the fact that you’re applying to the program AND what school you apply to.

Is it a lot easier to get in compared to Macaulay Honors in Brooklyn College?

Macaulay is a program, therefore it’s admission process is unified; applying to Brooklyn as oppose to Hunter would not make any difference.

Not true at all, each college individually screens its Macaulay applicants. The stats do vary widely among some campuses but between Brooklyn and Hunter not as much as say Lehman and Hunter.
