i need advice on this prompt.
"Describe the world you come from for example, your family, community or school and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations."
i am thinking of writing my experience as my brother had heart problems and write what i learned, how this has shaped my futures, etc. is it a good topic to write about

please help. this is an emergency. also would it be better to add how i was able to keep up with school work despite my brother's problem.

Yes, it is a good topic IF you can come to some conclusions of how it affected you in a positive way. Make sure you give concrete examples tying that event to your performance/outlook/choices. For example, instead of saying you were affected, but got good grades in spite of the stressful situation, you might say that seeing your brother so ill inspired you to make the most of every day and to maximize your potential so you doubled your academic efforts and managed to get straight A's or whatever. Also add that it made you realize how precious time is, thereby making you determined to get the most out of college, etc. (These are just examples... find whatever works and is true for yourself). One more thing, if you happen to be a science type of person who wants to study medicine or do research, definitely mention it if your brother's situation compels you to study in that field. Just make sure you do not spend too many of your words on writing about your brother- write about yourself.
