when we give our reccomendation forms to our teachers to send directly to colleges, isn't there something we are supposed to sign so that we are waiving our right to access the recommendation? I don't see it on the common application though???? anyone???

only if it's on the application, i think

Wait, do we have to sign it?

You don't have to. But I think it is just a sense of trust for the teacher who is writing your application. I know that my english definitely do not like her students reading her rec letters so I signed it. I know she would write me a good one anyway.

You dont have to sign it, but I would. Not even so much for your teachers, but I really think the school doesnt want you to see them. I know I asked one of my recc teachers if I really had to sign it and hes like, dude..dont you really wanna go to this school...haha i love that guy, but he said it right there. Sign it.

Uh oh, I gave my teacher the form without signing it...

but there is NO SPOT for signing it on the common app... thats what im confused about.

then don't worry about it. i just gave them the common app form filled out. nothing to signed so nothing to worry about opposed to USC, which doesn't use the common app.

honestly, are you really going to seek out your rec. letters once you get into the college?
