Question about Recommendation letter.

My teacher gave me his recommendation letter in envelopve which is closed but "not sealed". I did not try to open it and put it into my package and sent it with my application already. Is there any trouble? Is "seal" a big matter?

Well you might want to seal it and send it seprately, otherwise it won't carry as much weight in the admmissions process.

unless it's sealed, they might think you tampered with it/wrote it yourself. if you've already sent your app though, don't worry too much; usually, if adcoms are suspicious, they contact the GC directly. my school had to fax recs for several students...the colleges wanted to compare and make sure the student didn't change anything. if you didn't, you should be fine.

Thank Pongo and Fida'10
Hope that the adcoms will contact my teachers for verification before giving me any negative comment about the letter.
