Question about recommendations by someone who's neither a counselor or teacher.

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>So I'm doing the Common Ap online, and would like to have a mentor of mine write a recommendation for me. He's neither a counselor nor a teacher, so I can't "invite" him in the recommendations part.</p>

<p>How to include his recommendation for me in the application? Should he submit a separate by mail/paper instead of doing it online?</p>

<p>Hope someone's familiar with a predicament like this one.</p>

<p>My son had someone send in a letter of rec to his colleges. Just give your mentor stamped, addressed envelopes to each school’s admissions office. Also, have him put your full name and either social security number or date of birth and address in the upper right corner of each page.It will find its way to your file at each school!</p>
