Question about refunds...

Do they get "mailed" in paper format to you? Or do they go back via direct deposit E-Refund?

unless you enrolled in direct deposit, it will be mailed to your local address. (check BARC account summary under Refund Type)

thank you keltix. it says “payment method” - direct deposit, but it also says “refund local mailing address preference” right next to it - though, i am assuming the it will be direct deposit since i enrolled in e-refund and have been paying this way for the past month.

how long does this process(e-refund direct deposit) take for it to enter my bank account?

i think e-bill and direct deposit are different. but if it says direct deposit under payment method, then you are good.

there is a refund schedule under the BARC log-in

man, keltix…im embarrassed to say that out of the 20 questions i’ve spewed onto this forum, 19 of them were probably answered by you. excuse my naivete, and again, thanks for all the help! :p

lol. glad to help

did everybody get their refund yet?

No refund yet, despite repeated assurances that it’d be in my account on 12/24.

Anybody else who’s signed up for direct deposit / e-refund run into the same situation?

Yeah, no refund yet here too

i tried calling, but the answer machine said that they are not gonna be able to take phone calls until 1/3 and the finaid office wont be open until then either. hopefully we will all get this figured out

My CU just placed the refund in my acc, so you guys should check yours

I haven’t gotten my erefund either, although the transaction date was 12/21…This sucks that we gotta wait UNTIL we go back to get any answer. I WAS planning on buying a new laptop and messing around with it for a few days before I went back, but alas, that plan doesn’t seem likely to come true

Is there any chance of the refund coming late? (i.e. in the next couple of days before Jan 3rd). The fall 2010 refund came exactly on time according to the refund schedule, but I’m not sure if a refund “delay” like this has happened in the past (im only a freshman). So if anyone could shed some light on this situation it would be great. (Should I keep checking my checking account every few hours or should I just give up hope and wait until we go back? Lol).

@tjdabeast- what is CU? have you contacted or talked to anybody about the refund that prompted them to transfer the fund?

I just received my refund yesterday (direct deposit)

Time to buy books lul

Credit union, and by the time UCSB does direct deposit then the time it takes to settle in your acc is up to your bank so it should be soon
