ok so im a hindu, will this affect my chances in admissions? and chance me?

out of state (texas)
asian (indian)

gpa: 3.6

rank: top 10 percent (i think around 90/900)

mostly B's in 9th and 10th
one C in 10th
All A's in 11th

SAT: 2100

Religion doesn’t affect applications.

Your GPA and your rank are both good, but it would help if they could be raised slightly.

Your SAT is very good and is solid for ND’s standards.

Other than that I really can’t comment — you do need a substantial amount of extracurriculars and activities outside of school and you need to be a major leader and major force in each group – you did not list anything, but I imagine you must have somethings.

Overall, from what I see, I would focus on getting straight As for the first semester of your senior year - that will be critical.

and also would applying EA help? according to notre dame’s site it isn’t supposed to help, but is that the truth? and thanks

I generally detest chance threads as they amount to little more than the blind leading the blind, but I did have to interject on your two statistical measures. Your grades are a little low. 3.6 is not great, and the median class rank is somewhere in the 5-7% range. Granted, not all schools are created equal, but that should serve as some guide.

Being Hindu will not adversely affect your application. If anything, you could discuss how you will contribute to ND’s diversity. Your SAT is difficult to decipher because the Writing portion doesn’t count for much if anything. Is that a 2100-800 W so 1300 M/V? ND’s 75th is 1390. What’s your SAT M/V breakdown? If you’re below 75th for both grades and scores, you’re going to have a tough time getting in.

I would not apply EA. You need that extra semester to get your grades up and possibly retake the SAT.
