<p>This is kinda what I was asking about in the first place...I mean, I know that Duke can afford to rescind admissions and still end up with a great class, but I'm wondering if Duke (or any top school) would really screw a student over that badly, by telling him to withdraw all apps and then taking away his admission?</p>
<p>WGDS - I was mainly responding to the drug charge hypothetical - if a student chooses to screw themselves that badly, after getting into college and then choosing to break the law by showing extraordinarily poor judgment, then gotta say, it would be hard for me to blame the university in that exchange...</p>
<p>Now, for the grades thing, I would like to think that the reevaluation would be done in keeping with the circumstances you describe - those being a commitment by the student and the school to each other.</p>
