question about rescinding in regards to ECs

I have a quick question.....would a selective school (Emory, in particular) rescind my admission offer (ED) because I "stopped" an EC. I mean it's pretty much a meaningless EC (NHS) & I rather do something else with my time like get a job (you get kicked out if you miss one meeting?)...I know this is probably a stupid question but I was just wondering since it's pretty much one of those ECs I did for college & well...I got in! & I've only been in it this year so it's not like a long standing commitment or anything.

I wouldn't worry at all, they most likely won't even know, and if it was something so small like nhs, they won't care.

^^ agreed.

thanks, you both made me feel a lot better!

NHS isnt even a good EC (you were right in it being meaningless since every high school has different GPA and community service hour requirements) so you'll be fine

keep in mind you won't be recognized as a member of NHS at graduation if you quit senior year... at least at my school.
