Ok, so I found out that I got into my dream school today. Two weeks ago, I talked to my college counselor because I really couldn't continue in my AP Econ class with the four other APs that I was taking plus one regular class, and he e-mailed the college telling them that, and the dean replied in an e-mail saying just to send the e-mail she wrote back to my counselor attached to my transcript so as to point out the reason why I switched out of that class. Now, seeing as I've been admitted, I'm even more scared...should I be worried? I notified the college as soon as it happend...and my couselor said it shouldn't be a big deal since its not a core class and I have an othewise very heavy courseload for the school i got in at. The dean made it sound that way too, but should I be worried??? Thanks.

You've been admitted to an institution of higher learning. Now take a breath and put yourself in the shoes of an adcom. What purpose would it serve to rescind an admitee who is qualified but needs to change their schedule due to rules? Re-read the exam question and write a one-paragraph answer. You have ten minutes. LOL

so you're saying you think it'll be okay?

prepschoolgrl: Ask the school. If you come to them, and are honest, they probably won't do anything. If, however, you try to conceal the fact that you've dropped a class, you risk them rescinding your acceptance. Better safe than sorry.

i talked to them as soon as it happened.

prepschoolgrl: Then, er, why are you posting here? Did they say that it was OK , and not to worry?

sort of...but i'm still scared. i really need to get my couselor to read me the exact words on monday. i think i'm just being paraniod probably. thanks anyway.
