Question about residency and online classes..

Okay, so if I take online classes in Indiana and then move to Texas and claim Texas residency, then do I have to pay out of state tuition for my online classes? Does this vary by state? What are the rules?

I’d like to get my associates online and get my bachelors in another state and not pay out of state tuition…

Any help appreciated!

It’s definitely different for every school. For example, I’m looking into doing an online Bachelors program through San Jose State University in California, but there are no residency requirements and it costs the same to do it in-state or out of state. You’d have to look into your schools’ specific requirements.
