i'm just wondering how it works if you get a D on your transcript and retake a class..how does it factor into your GPA once you retake the class and get an A.

will the just replace the D with the A and make a note of a retake...?

also does this affect standing in anyway if i'm doing UCSD TAG.

The D stays but it is not factored into your GPA for transferring

It may be factored into your GPA for Grad Schools though - they may factor in both the D and the A.

The A does not just replace the D- the D stays there forever, it is just not calculated into the GPA- and the A is calculated.

Also be sure to list both grades and terms your took the course on your UC application. We will calculate the GPA correctly but must be informed of the repeat.
