Question about SAT and ACT scores

So I took the SAT sometime back, and got an 1850. Then I took the ACT in Sept 07 and got a 31 composite, which is obviously better than the 1850.

My questions is, can I just report the ACT scores and my SAT2 scores, and not report my SAT1 scores?

I was told that the CB report includes both SAT1 and SAT2 scores, and I'm just wondering if I don't report my SAT1 scores, and they see it on the CB report, will I get penalized?

This question applies to both UCs and privates.

Thanks.

i dont think you will necessarily get "penalized", but if the college of your choice prefers SAT scores over ACT scores, then i would rethink taking the SAT again, but i would report both the SAT and ACT scores to improve your chances of admission

hope that helps,
satscholar

So you're suggesting I report both the 1850 and the 31 composite?

Also, what are the UCs' preference regarding SAT and ACT?

Thanks.

Just remember that UC was the college that encouraged applicants not to take the SAT and forced the ETS to add a new writing section. (Thanks a lot, California).

Anyway, I would suggest that you take an SAT prep course, maybe your state's virtual school has an SAT prep course.
