Question about SAT and foreigns

Does your SAT score look better if english is not your first language?

For example, I got a 780 in my math, a 760 on CR and a 660 on Writing, but I've been speaking english for only 5 years. I'm not wanting to use it as an excuse, but hey, whatever helps, right? =D

Argh, no SATII for Portuguese =(

I would say that those scores are excellent even for a native english speaker, let alone some one who is new to the language. What kind of prepping did you do? What did you get on the essay?

No prepping, I just read lots of comic books (Marvel mostly =P and Calvin and Hobbest =D). My essay was an 8, and I didn't really have to rush it or anything. Writing is just not really my forte, which is weird, I always good at it in Brazil...

But ya, do colleges look at that?

And also, risking going on tangent, BUT:
how come hispanics seem to always have the preference? I don't want to sound a bit bitter, but Brazil is one of the few countries in south america that's not hispanic... There was one episode last year, taht I just didn't get an award for my PSAT because it was for hispanics only and they thought I were one... ya I'm a bit bitter =) :P (Nothing against the hispanic community btw, got lots of hispanic friends, I just want some more love for the rest of South America =(...)

Well, this is just one of many ridiculous things about the "Hispanic" classification.
