Hey guys... I searched the forums and I couldn't find any definitive answer to my question so I thought I'd start up a thread.

I've heard that using the Cliff's AP Bio book is the best way to prep for the test, but which book has the best SAT II tests to practice with?

How are Barron's and PR in comparison with the actual thing?

thanks.

I don't know about PR, but Barron's is TOTAL CRAP. Don't use it! Best prep is your biology textbook and Cliffs.

i've used the cliffsap book and the barrons satii bio book. i'd first recommend taking ap bio and then taking the sat ii bio. i went a bit overboard by reading from kaplan satii, barrons satii, barrons ap, and cliffs ap.

cliffs ap is the best overall, and for satii it's still the best. barrons satii gives you a lotta specifics and i'd recommend skimming through it nonetheless cause i found the satii to be more specific on certain aspects that cliffs doesn't cover. i also agree with gloaming that if you had your bio book, those specifics would be covered enough. kaplans however overall does a better job with anat/phys than does barrons.

the practice test in the real sat iis book may be easier than normal and kaplan's test i found were harder than normal (i.e. the real test). take a few and skim through all of the review sections, but definitely read closely on cliffsap review.
