QUESTION ABOUT SAT II's SCIENCE SUBJECTS

Alright so im a rising Senior and im about to take 2 SAT II's, my first one will be MATH II, which im very confident about. In school i have taken Bio, Chem, and Physics. My physics was a college intro class. However i dont remmber bio so well and i didnt learn chem really well..my Teacher was the Assistant Principle and he was always on meetings. but i am interested in Chem.

In my physics class i did well but not sure if we covered a lot of the work since it was only like 2 days a week... but a review on it wuldnt help.

Is there any books, preferably Chem or Physics (unless Bio sat II is easy) that i can buy or look over that will give lessons from the beginning for someone like me who doesnt remmber too well?

Also which one is "easier" to score higher on?

my brother got an 800 on sat chem when he took it; said it was hella easy

If you have taken an AP science then it should not be bad. But if you only take regular or honors you might have some trouble.

Don't know about physics, but chemistry is definitely easier than biology.

Once I get my chemistry score at 8 am EST, I will let you know. At my school everyone thinks that bio is harder than chemistry. But our AP bio class is really difficult and everyone scores well on the AP and SATII whereas the AP chem class is easier and people tend to do worse on the AP and SATII.

i had a teacher who always had international meetings for two years in a row - AP bio and honors chem.. imagine how much i learned ;]

wow lol, well any books that are recommended to learn everythign from the beginning? and to some of you, yeah it might be easy if u learned it properly and all, but if u didnt its definatly not.

Since you didn't specify which sort of bio/chem courses you took:

DON'T TAKE THE CHEM SAT UNLESS YOU HAVE TAKEN AP CHEM!!

Bio, you can probably self-study with relative ease.
Chem, not so much.

My bio and Chem have been honors. My Physics was college now, which means basically its like the AP except im already getting the credit without having to take the AP test. So its an introductory level college physics.

berkucla... ur brothers a genius... abunch of my classmates took the sat 2 last year after honors chem... and the best score of the bunch( these are the brightest chem kids in the class) was a 720....

well i don't really agree with 'don't take chem unless you've taken the AP class'. there are sophomores in my schools (well....now juniors, school's over!) that took the chem SATII after just honors chem and they did fine. so i guess either honors chem or AP chem should suffice.

does anybody know the best prep books for sat chem and math level ii?
thanks in advance

i took bio and got 690 (I'm retaking)
this is due to the fact that I basically learned 60% of the materail on my own
I've taken to years of bio at school and bio II is weighted, but the curriculum seriously sucks. My teacher even admitted that it only covers 40% of the material on ap and sat
so I guess it depends on individual schools

Make sure your classes have covered everything that's on the test. For instance, at my school the physics classes don't cover optics at all, and that's a significant portion of the SAT II. Obviously, I opted not to take it. My AP Chem teacher was awful, but I still scored a 770 with no studying.
