How do colleges see it if you take a SAT II that you did not have a class in high school for?

I am planning to take physics in november after a summer of studying, but I will not have touched physics, but will taking it as a senior. Help!

um, I would not take it if you have not “touched physics”. you need to know a good variety of things. plus I don’t think it will help at all if you take physics senior year as well.

sorry, no bonus. plenty of people self-study, but I’ve never seen it have any effect. don’t be foolhardy.

Okay, let’s just say hypothetically someone did get a 750 on physics without taking the class.

I’m not saying if the colleges would see it as a BONUS, i’m asking would colleges put a negative light on it in any way?

I don’t see any reason why it would be bad. if you are prepared for it, take it, do well, and that’s it.

one of my friends is taking german. our school system doesn’t offer german, but she’s fluent. she’s doing that because she wants to demonstrate competency in foreign languages. it’s one of her interesting points

similarly, if you think it would help cast you as a more interesting person to have demonstrated skill in physics, but haven’t gotten to take the class (although i think that task is rather daunting), by all means, go ahead
