Question about SAT Optional Schools for the Common App

So i am applying to a couple SAT optional schools and I was wondering how I can make it so my colleges do not see my scores. There is no box to check or anything. I had to put my scores in to the Common App, but I dont want my colleges to see my scores. Can someone clarify?

Are you saying that you took the ACT instead of the SAT?
If so, then go ahead and remove your SAT scores so that the colleges cannot see them when you submit your app to them.
They can’t see them until you submit your application from commonapp.org.
Otherwise - if you Only took the SAT and do not want them to see any of your scores - well that is silly because they have to see some scores. If you don’t like your test scores then hurry up and take a class to improve your scores and take the test again!
Or… try to get into a private college and the next year transfer (assuming you have good grades from the 1st college) to the public college that you want.
best wishes!

I assume you are applying to both SAT optional schools (which you dont want to see) and some SAT-required schools (which you need to see)

You can make a new version of the common app for the SAT optional schools and leave the testing section blank. Not so sure how to make a new version so if someone else can help, or if you can search it

Many test optional members choose to “suppress” (i.e. not receive) your scores, even if you include them on your application. Check the Future Plans section for your test optional colleges. If they opt to suppress scores, their decision will be noted in that section.
